Job Summary

As the Business Analyst will work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to support technology deployments, platform evaluations, and enhance business processes.

Job Description

We are looking for a Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and IT solutions, ensuring that our projects deliver value and align with our strategic goals. This position will be full-time and remote.

What You\'ll Do

  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure seamless integration of business analysis within the project management lifecycle
  • Elicit, analyze, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems
  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation that clearly outlines system functionalities, business processes, and user guides to facilitate understanding and usage across all levels of the organization
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and work with stakeholders to define and document business needs, and securing formal signoff from stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and approval for project progression
  • Translate business requirements into user stories or functional specifications for IT implementation, ensuring clarity for development teams
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units, fostering a collaborative environment to ensure successful technology solutions
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and work closely with the scrum team, providing support as needed to the ScrumMaster
  • Utilize project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps to track and manage business analysis tasks within project frameworks
  • Perform analysis on existing systems and processes, recommending improvements and innovative solutions
  • Support the creation and execution of test plans to ensure solutions meet business requirements
  • Contribute to the development of training materials and assist with user training sessions
  • Manage and prioritize backlogs in coordination with business product owners and project managers
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business domain to add value to discussions and decision-making processes

What You\'ll Need

Required:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in IT, Business, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in a business analysis role, preferably within an IT or technology-focused environment
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies and working with Agile teams; familiarity with Scrum and Kanban is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex information with accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of effectively engaging stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
  • Experience in developing and executing test plans to validate solution effectiveness
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to navigate shifting priorities and embrace new challenges
  • Experience with multiple SDLCs

Preferred:

  • Proficiency with tools like Jira or Azure DevOps for managing requirements and tracking project progress

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with t e ADA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
