Smithbucklin, a 100 percent employee-owned association management company, is looking for an Education Coordinator to join our Association Management Unit in Chicago. The Association Management unit offers unmatched association expertise and specific knowledge of the issues, challenges and actions distinctive to the changing healthcare environment. From legislative and regulatory advocacy, to building successful industry relations programs. What You Will Do

  • Engage with association volunteers to develop new live educational events, including speaker management, educational content for marketing materials, evaluations, and program-specific invoicing (speaker honoraria or expense reimbursement)

  • Assist in the production of Society’s online clinical and professional development opportunities via Learning Center courses and maintenance of Learning Management System

  • Participate in coordination and execution of client's annual live educational conference, as well as several live virtual workshops throughout the year

  • Interface with partner organizations to execute grant funded educational programming, live or online

  • Serve as staff liaison to volunteer committees

  • Participate in annual budgeting process specific to educational products and services and monthly financial review

  • Collaborate with various Smithbucklin service units including marketing, accounting, IT, and events to provide the best client service possible

  • You have the ability to travel - you will attend one large annual meetings and one to two smaller meetings per year.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution or equivalent experience

  • A minimum of three to five years of related professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical nonprofit experience is a plus

  • Experience in educational content planning and/or program development

  • Knowledge of learning management systems and virtual meeting tools is a plus

  • Proficiency with basic computer programming, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
