Job Description: Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to design and edit drawings for electro-mechanical equipment components. You will create or rebuild CAD models for custom machine orders, develop BOMs and sub-assemblies, and work cross-functionally with various teams including Electrical/Controls Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production. You will ensure that all designs meet client requirements and are manufacturable.
Responsibilities
Design and edit drawings for electro-mechanical equipment components.
Create or rebuild CAD models for custom machine orders.
Develop BOMs and sub-assemblies.
Collaborate with Electrical/Controls Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production teams throughout the design process.
Work with manufacturing on process development to ensure designs can be produced according to client requirements.
Utilize Unigraphics to build mechanical assemblies for orders, spending 90% of the day on this task.
Engage in minimal new design work initially, with some involvement in new product development within Unigraphics.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering and design.
Proficient in Unigraphics
Experience with sheet metal and large assemblies.
Ability to run a CAD station.
Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with machine design and assembly design.
Proficiency in using CAD software such as Unigraphics NX
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
