Job overview and responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the development and management of multiple projects related to aircraft cyber operations and digital maintenance applications in commercial aviation. In this role, you will serve as the bridge between stakeholders, engineering teams, and end-users to deliver secure, compliant, and cutting-edge solutions that enhance both cybersecurity and maintenance efficiency for aviation platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for a portfolio of aircraft cyber operations and digital maintenance applications

  • Translate complex aviation cybersecurity and maintenance requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria

  • Prioritize features and capabilities based on strategic value, security considerations, technical dependencies, and maintenance operational needs

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including aviation SMEs, cybersecurity specialists, maintenance technicians, software engineers, and quality assurance

  • Lead sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring alignment with program objectives

  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status, risks, and decisions effectively

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, technologies, and competitive solutions in aircraft cyber operations and digital maintenan

  • Ensure compliance with relevant aviation regulations, cybersecurity frameworks, and industry standards for commercial aircraft

  • Balance technical debt management with feature development to maintain system integrity

  • Validate that delivered solutions meet operational requirements through appropriate testing regimes

  • Coordinate with maintenance operations teams to ensure digital solutions improve aircraft availability, reliability, and maintenance efficienc

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant filed is required

  • 4-5 years digital experience required

  • 2-3 Agile/Scrum experience preferred

  • 2-3 years in business analyst role preferred

  • Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of:

  • SDLC processes, inputs/outputs, standards

  • Agile & Scrum Knowledge

  • Business/System requirements

  • DevOps Process

  • Airline Operations

  • High-level understanding of Cloud Computing

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong project organizations skill, including prioritization, planning and organization required

  • Able to Work with distributed teams (on shore and off) required

  • Ability to understand, communicate and engage effectively with multiple stakeholders and interactions

  • Strong problem-solving, listening, written and verbal communication, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Certifications are plus

  • Prior Experience in Airport Operations and an understanding of how United Operations work

  • Deep knowledge TFS/Client or related tools

The base pay range for this role is $109,820.00 to $149,600.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
