The Role:
The Senior Regional Payroll Specialist, Americas manages all activities
necessary to manage multiple payrolls, including two US payrolls and
three UK payrolls. This position works closely with members of the Human
Resources department along with other key Business Operations, and
Finance personnel (including the other regional payroll specialists
globally).
Responsibilities:
- Manage multi-state semi-monthly and bi-weekly US payroll processes,
ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage UK payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain payroll records, including tax reports and deduction
reports
- Review payroll for accuracy and compliance with controls before
submission
- Prepare accounting transactions, documents, and reports for senior
management
- Reconcile payroll records quarterly and annually, managing
corrections as needed
- Manage any agency tax inquiries and ensure compliance with payment
obligations
- Process new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations
accurately
- Analyze payroll procedures and recommend/implement changes for best
practices
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits as needed
- Research tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Support global expansion and ensure payroll accuracy in multiple
countries
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to reconcile data sharing and
cross-departmental impacts
- Prepare various management reports on a regular basis (weekly,
monthly, quarterly, yearly)
- Assist management with audits, analysis, and special projects as
required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree required or equivalent experience; CPP
designation is a plus
- Minimum of ten years\' experience in processing multi-state payroll,
preferably in a professional services environment
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce, Paychex and Workday preferred
- Proven experience in providing highest level of client service
internally and externally.
- Experience with payroll implementations and systems upgrades.
