Job description
Perform month-end account closing activities, including recording journal entries, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and identifying variance drivers for multiple business entities
Perform recurring and ad-hoc accounting tasks, including cash reconciliations and updating financial records
Improve financial status by analyzing results, monitor variances, identifying trends and recommending actions to management
Identify financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plan and forecast
Manage and maintain relationship with project management and other business departments to provide financial information, reporting and budget support as needed
Support system improvement initiatives, including streamlining and automating processes and enhancing internal controls
Perform special projects for the Controller and Chief Financial Officer as needed
Requirements
Key skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or working towards certification preferred but not required
Excellent analytical skills
Advanced proficiency is MS Excel
Clear communicator with ability to interact with senior leaders
Superior organizational skills, must be detail oriented and have the ability to multitask
A mature professional with excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
