About the Role:

The Union Service Engineer's responsibilities include servicing equipment, creating preventative maintenance strategies, and updating user manuals.

This role is on the Engineering functional team. They are responsible for support including developing procedures and methods, technical reports and documentation, technical evaluations of events to determine root cause. Preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems. Evaluation of equipment improvements to improve availability, capability, and yield. Equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance). Solving and diagnosing of equipment problems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Applies in-depth knowledge of standard basics and techniques/procedures to do complex assignments.

  • Leads others and shares in-depth knowledge of own job field.

  • Exercises judgment based on the review of many sources of information.

  • Works within broad guidelines and policies.

  • Explains difficult or critical information.

  • Using various strategies and tools to provide effective solutions to customers concerns.

  • Presenting with clients, engineers, and other technicians to ensure that services are completed.

  • Following up on service requests and providing customer feedback.

  • Supervising equipment and machinery performance and developing preventative maintenance measures.

  • Conducting quality assurance and safety checks on all equipment.

  • Delivering demonstrations to ensure that customers are safe and effective equipment use.

  • Supervising inventory and reordering materials when needed.

  • Conducting research and attending workshops to remain abreast of industry developments.

  • Writing reports and presenting findings to Managers and Supervisors on a regular basis.

What You’ll Need:

  • EPA Universal and HVAC License preferred.

  • Excellent listening and customer service skills.

  • Superb work ethic and a growth mindset.
