POSITION SUMMARY:
The Benefits Specialist plays a key role in the development, implementation and maintenance of the Company's benefit plans. This role performs a variety of day-to-day functions ensuring high-touch benefits support to employees, and smooth benefits administration for the company. The Benefits Specialist is additionally responsible for ongoing labor law compliance efforts and other similar activities. This position serves as a point of contact for all benefits-related matters, and may function as project lead on projects. The Benefits Specialist works collaboratively within HR and cross-functionally with other departments such as Finance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
Answers employee questions in a timely and accurate manner
Prepares the Company's open enrollment website in conjunction with the HRIS function
Assists with open enrollment meetings, questions, processing, and reporting
Supports broker relationship, and assists with evaluation of and changes to broker as needed
Manages the Company's leaves of absence
Identify areas of opportunity to improve existing benefits and maximize Company spend
Creates and maintains documentation and training guides for employees
Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in all systems. Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls with the highest levels of confidentiality
Develops and maintains custom reports to meet the requirements of HR and Company leadership as needed
Assist in the administration and management of the organization's benefits programs, including health, retirement, leave, and wellness programs.
Collaborate with cross functionally across the organizations and leadership to review, develop, and implement new or modified benefits programs and policies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree and three to five years of directly related experience, or the equivalent demonstrated combination of education, training, and experience
Knowledge of principles, practices and standards of benefits plans and benefits administration
Experience with annual Open Enrollment
Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem solving skills
