For more information on our benefits go to Nucor.com/benefits Basic Job Functions: * Develop and maintain relationships with transportation companies and shipping point contacts to streamline the movement of goods in the most cost-effective manner * Manual Order Entry, Shipment scheduling and proactive communication to the delivery points (inbound and outbound loads) * Freight rate administration and data entry * Answering a high-volume phone queue to be the front line for incoming inquiries for potential new partners * Support for LTL and parcel shipments as needed * Carrier scorecard review and assessment of various key performance indicators for all vendor partners * Maintain documentation, change control records and any agreements pertaining to business system, customer support and software * Transaction analysis and problem resolution. Includes reviewing reports as well as phone and email communication to commercial, shipping and vendor partners * Willingness to travel to US based locations on an as-needed basis to support business needs and project deadlines * Work on projects and performs other duties as assigned Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
