POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee our bottling plant operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless management of material handling, process engineering, and production. The Operations Manager will work in close collaboration with quality and maintenance teams, driving continuous improvement through Kaizen and autonomous maintenance practices. Additionally, this position will partner with the HR Business Partner to foster and maintain a positive workplace culture. As a customer-facing role, the Operations Manager will be responsible for maintaining excellent communication and relationship-building with our clients, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly. This role requires a proactive leader who can balance operational efficiency with strategic initiatives to drive the plant's success.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
B.A. or B.S degree Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field or a combination of education and experience.
Kind & Length of Experience:
At least 3 years proven experience in Operations Management in a manufacturing environment
At least 3 years of experience supervising a team of five or more
Strong knowledge of process engineering, production management, and supply chain principles.
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, such as Autonomous Maintenance and Kaizen.
Proven leadership in a contract manufacturing environment preferred
Formal CI Training/Certification preferred
Experience in a customer-facing role preferred
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
Proven leadership in a contract manufacturing environment preferred
Formal CI Training/Certification preferred
PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS
HR and Culture:
Partner with the HR Business Partner to support employee engagement and development.
Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Address employee concerns and foster open communication.
Material Handling:
Ensure timely and efficient supply of materials to production lines.
Coordinate with production and scheduling to maintain optimal inventory levels at the production lines.
Monitor and manage supply chain processes to prevent disruptions.
Process Engineering:
Analyze production workflows and identify areas for optimization.
Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement new production processes
Implement autonomous maintenance practices to empower production teams to perform routine maintenance tasks.
Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Develop and implement strategies to improve equipment uptime and overall reliability.
Production Management:
Oversee daily production activities to meet output and quality targets.
Manage production schedules and allocate resources effectively.
Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
