Job Location: 921 Curtis Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206 and various unanticipated construction sites throughout U.S.
Job Duties:
Provide overall administrative and technical direction for large-scale commercial construction projects. Enforce company and project policies, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. Read and advise project team on details of contract, subcontract, purchase orders and other agreements. Negotiate most project issues. Create and track cost management logs through appropriate project management systems to ensure profitability. Develop and manage construction schedules. Manage significant contractors and assignments. Write project scope for most trades to avoid overlap. Manage cost events and expedite solutions to avoid claims. Execute safety planning and risk avoidance. Completion of OSHA 30-hour training. Roving employment - Duties to be performed at construction sites. Limited telecommuting from home office available on as-needed basis.
Job Requirements:
Education: Either a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Construction Management or related industry degree plus 3 years of professional experience in construction management; OR a Master’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Construction Management or related industry degree plus 1 year of professional experience in construction management, gained at any time.
Experience: Must have 3 years or 1 year of experience (depending on degree held) in all of the following:
Experience with MS Office suite and other industry related programs such as Bluebeam, Procore, Adobe or Viewpoint;
Experience with construction safety; and
Prior experience with written and verbal project presentations to both and internal and external audiences.
Must be willing to work schedule that may include weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays as workload dictates.
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, climb, push, pull, lift up to 25lbs., see an d read English.
