Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to become a part of our team in the manufacturing industry, located in CINCINNATI, Ohio. This role involves managing financial reporting and operational efficiency, and will be instrumental to our continued growth. As a Sr. Accountant, you will have a broad range of responsibilities, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, and supporting budget and forecasting activities.
Responsibilities
• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with GAAP standards and government regulatory requirements
• Work closely with external auditors to meet annual audit requirements
• Stay updated on existing, new, and future legislation to uphold federal, state, and local legal standards
• Create ad-hoc financial reports and undertake special projects to support operations, including inventory costing and fixed asset/project costing
• Enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets
• Assist in daily operations with a strong attention to detail
• Innovate process development to maximize accounting efficiency
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of day-to-day operations
• Engage with senior leadership on a regular basis
• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP. Requirements • Possesses expertise in Account Reconciliation
• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Demonstrates knowledge of General Ledger management
• Ability to handle Journal Entries
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Month End Close procedures
• Familiarity with NetSuite software
• Proficiency in Oracle systems
• Experience with SAP software
