Admin Supervisor 2024 Overview: The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden's Visitor Experience Team is looking for passionate individuals wanting to make a difference within our team to help develop their own leadership skills through training & welcome new folks into the department! As an Administrative Supervisor of Hiring/Onboarding & Training, you will help facilitate interviews, orientations, & trainings for our new employees as well as help provide support for the current team! Position Summary: A successful candidate will possess the desire to create the best team of Visitor Experience of any Zoo in the nation. This position actively participates in strategies that improve the holistic experience for our Visitor Experience Team (including Visitor Experience Ambassadors, Kanga Klimb Aerial Guides, & Park Services members), from onboarding, training, professional development, & performance management. This role supports the Zoo operations by being the training & development champion for our sizeable part-time team of front-line Visitor Experience members as they grow & deliver on the Zoo's mission of "inspiring every visitor with wildlife every day." This position is a Part-Time, non-benefitted role. Scheduled hours will vary by time of year, ranging in 10 hours weekly to upwards of 30 during peak times, not to exceed an annual average of 30hours/week. This role includes being available on nights and weekends on a regular basis. We are looking for people who are anticipating working through Summer, preferably through FOL as well. High consideration will be given to those able to commit to 3 full shifts/week. Candidates with flexible availability, including weekends, are preferred. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Participating in the onboarding plan of the Visitor Experience department including attending recruiting events, screening applications, conducting phone screens, scheduling & conducting interviews, and hiring & onboarding tracking. Review applications, phone screen, reach out to, & facilitate interviews for Visitor Experience Ambassadors, Kanga Klimb Aerial Guides, & Park Services team members. Keep Paycor Recruiting, Microsoft Bookings, forms, & tracking spreadsheets up to date Adding users to scheduling software, When I Work (WIW) & schedule first shifts Communicate to current and potential employees through phone calls, in-person, email, & various messaging platforms (VEHiring & VEScheduling inboxes, Paycor, Slack, WIW) Collaborating with multiple departments to ensure branding, legality, & consistency Help create and facilitate department orientations (including materials) and in-service trainings to ensure the Zoo's mission of "inspiring every visitor with wildlife every day," our Core Values, and INSPIRED service are clearly communicated to all team members. Overseeing team members files and merit tracking, including auditing folders, performing post-training & INSPIRED check-ins, location audits, and ensuring Pay for Performance documentation is prepared in a timely fashion. Ensuring team members understand our INSPIRED Visitor Experience philosophy & standards of excellence and are motivated to deliver on our promise. Ensuring team members approaching their last days receive critical communication regarding end of employment processes, uniform/ID returns, and receiving an exit survey. Supporting the Visitor Experience Coordinators: Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition in other duties, as assigned.<
