About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This role is responsible for processing invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely vendor payments. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and verify invoices for accuracy, appropriate approval, and proper coding.
Ensure timely payments to vendors via check, ACH, or wire transfers.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain accurate accounts payable records and ensure compliance with company policies.
Assist with month-end closing, accruals, and financial reporting related to payables.
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues.
Prepare and maintain accounts payable aging reports.
Assist with audit requests and provide necessary documentation.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
Skills:Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or similar).
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
