Summary

  • Responsible for the reconciliation of production orders to material usage and for proper scheduling of materials and labor to meet production demands for multiple shifts.

  • Schedules production orders in SAP for work-in-process materials and verifies proper processing in support of the production schedule. Provides material tracing of goods issued to the order and performs an audit of manufacturing paperwork to SAP.

  • Reconciles material goods issue and receipt to production orders daily ensures inventory quantities balance, and communicates/investigates discrepancies with management, line personnel, the warehouse, and all appropriate departments.

  • Coordinates material and product changes.

  • Plans daily labor schedule to meet production demand as provided by the Production Scheduler, while controlling the use of overtime hours.

  • Tracks and maintains a database in SAP and appropriate records for accurate history and prepares various production reports promptly.

  • Attends necessary management meetings to remain current on the status of all projects, problems, new products, scheduling possibilities, and dates affecting production schedules.

  • Helps train line employees and management to input information in SAP correctly.

  • Assists supervisors with planning/scheduling and works with management to prevent and/or resolve all scheduling/shipping problems.

  • Responsible for conducting yourself and ensuring your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

    Years of Related Experience: 1-3 years related experience.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Basic skills in the operation of a personal computer in a Windows operating environment including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook. Prefer knowledge of SAP, Excel, and other software—basic skill in the generation of data from electronic general ledger systems such as SAP preferred. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials movement is preferred. Must be able to problem-solve with limited supervision. Must be able to work independently, have good people skills, and continually work to develop the position. Written and verbal skills sufficient to communicate with and retrieve information from other employees. Prefer experience in production or labor scheduling.

    Pay Range: $20 - $25/hour
