OVERVIEW:
Manages and provides measurement, evaluation and assessment services relating to data quality and data production. Responsible for the direct leadership of assigned data quality team.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and participate in evaluation of large datasets for quality and accuracy.
Lead a team to deliver optimum Data Quality (DQ) process leveraging DQ tool(s).
Manage, design and implement process and strategy for Extra, Transform and Load (ETL)/Data-Load & Data Integration based data quality assessment and controls.
Prioritize team’s work based on DQ policies/procedures and requirements from business stakeholders.
Work with Platform Administration team to ensure enterprise level DQ tool(s) are properly maintained, upgraded and meet performance expectations.
Collaborate with data product team and leadership to ensure ongoing communication of stakeholder requirements for new and improved solutions.
Manage Data Quality programs for large, complex data projects
Develop training materials, documentation and visual cues and provide data quality training and presentations to the cross departmental teams/ stakeholders.
Edit and approve data quality performance indicators.
Oversee DQ issue tracking, root cause analysis, remediation and escalation as appropriate
Exercise usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management and terminations.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 11 years higher education and/ or work experience, including a minimum of 7 years related experience
Minimum of 2 years managerial, supervisory, and/or work leadership experience
Experience in physical data modeling
Experience in one or more database technologies
Expert in Structured Query Language (SQL)
Experience in data analysis
Experience with implementing and measuring Data Quality and Controls
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
Experience developing data quality improvement metrics
Experience with dimensions of DQ rules like completeness, validity, accuracy, timeliness etc.
Experience using data quality and governance tools
Background in Ops, Finance or Tech with Project Management/Business Analysis skills
Experience with ETL/Data integration and Data Warehouse
