Horizon Senior Living II has immediate openings for 2 part time cooks working weekends, 12 hours shifts Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare three meals daily
- Prepare two snacks daily
- Make coffee
- Use the My Plate dietary guidelines to prepare meals
- Menu planning-Prepare and submit menu at least one week in advance
- Maintain inventory list on a regular basis
- Prepare shopping list on a regular basis, shop for groceries, prepare GFS order
- Use portion control to avoid waste and keep food costs down
- Keep accurate records of meal plans and menu changes
- Follow correct sanitation procedures when preparing food and washing dishes
- Wrap silverware for meals
- Sanitize the tables and chairs
- Sanitize the counter tops in the kitchen, sweep kitchen and clean any messes in the dining room
- Load and unload the dishwashers as many times as needed
- Hand wash dishes that cannot be put in the dishwasher, and any overflow of dishes
- Refrigerate and date leftovers from breakfast and lunch.
- Make sure everything in the refrigerator is dated and labeled
