JOB OPENING:

Logger Payroll Bookkeeper

Starting wage: \$22.20 - \$26.55/hour

JOB DESCRIPTION:

? Assist company foresters with timber acquisitions and setting up logging contracts for landowners and contractors.

? Produce daily log reports for management.

? Produce logger statements for payment on the 10th and the 25th of each month.

? Produce payroll from logger statements payable on the 10th and 25th of each month.

? Process logger advances and issue payments as needed.

? Maintain accurate accounting for all loggers utilizing spreadsheets and Sage 100.

? Prepare year end reports including 1099\'s.

? Maintain records of current insurance/hold harmless agreements for subcontractors.

? Keep slash compliances up to date for all logging contracts.

? Produce monthly slash compliance reports and payment to the State due on the 20th.

? General bookkeeping, data processing, and filing.

? Answer the telephone and provide backup assistance to the front desk and provide administrative support as needed.

? Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

C Preference will be given to candidate with a BS degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.

C Proficiency in English and in MS Office, Excel and accounting software. Minimum of 3 years of experience with

MS Office programs is required.

C Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience is required.

C Experience with Sage 100 and TallyWorks software preferred.

C Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.

C Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.

C High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Must have the ability to multi-task with continual interruption.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

C Data entry skills, along with a knack for numbers and attention to detail.

C Position requires a team player who is organized, mature, energetic, and friendly. Valid Drivers License

required

C Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test as well as random drug tests administered during

the course of employment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENTAL SETTING (Indoors)

Sitting, lifting/moving up to 20 lbs., and hearing/talking on the phone. Deadlines, interaction with others, and repetitive

work are also common.
