Position Summary
The Community Engagement Coordinator supports the strategic goals of the Office of Advocacy to influence public policy through engaging, educating and empowering the voices of persons within LMM-served communities (individuals and families experiencing homelessness, incarceration, joblessness, and other structural barriers). This includes participating in community groups and community facing opportunities, planning public facing forums hosted by LMM that provide education on critical topics and advocacy training, and support for internal and external communications working in conjunction with the Director and communications team.

Qualifications
Our ideal candidate has a minimum of two years' experience working in advocacy, community organizing or related professional experience; Bachelor's Degree, preferred. Strong analytical written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse racial, ethnic, socio-economic, and gender backgrounds. Some experience working with people experiencing homelessness, veterans, people with substance use disorders, people with re-entry backgrounds, and/or other relevant social service populations. A valid Ohio driver license, reliable transportation and proof of insurance, required.
