PURPOSE: Responsible for providing Production Technical support including troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and training on various types of automation equipment in the Stick Manufacturing departments.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
* Ensure safety, product quality, and productivity in the performance of the job.
* Provide technical support and work independently to solve problems, debug, train, and maintain systems.
* Industrial troubleshooting in mechanical, electrical, and robotics systems.
* Capable of using industrial tools to make adjustments to tooling and sensors.
* Provide feedback to Engineering, Methods, Maintenance and Quality teams to continuously improve equipment and processes.
* Understand the Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
* Owner of automation equipment and ensuring that equipment remains properly maintained.
* Responsible for developing and maintaining Preventative Maintenance Schedules
* Ability to analyses data to address reoccurring issues and to drive improvements.
* Follow Special Orders and Permission Notes, do all necessary paperwork, and deliver samples to Lab.
* Perform changeovers and assume all changeover responsibilities including removing old labels and packaging materials, removing leftover material, cleaning, and filling out any required paperwork.
* Understand the processes in the Stick Manufacturing department.
* Review, understand, and follow the departmental procedures, Work Instructions, EW Specifications, SSW Specifications, Plant Rules and Regulations and the Job Hazard Analysis that are associated with the performance of this job.
* Obey all safety rules, maintain cleanliness of the work area, and perform other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor and operations manager.
* Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
* Associates degree in related field preferred, in lieu of degree, Vocational Training with 3 - 8+ years' experience OR a GED/High School diploma and 5 - 10+ years' experience
* Education or training in mechanical systems, electrical systems, industrial robots, and problem solving preferred.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
* Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
* Customer Focused - capable of interfacing in a positive manner with all levels of an organization. (Internal & External)
* PC literate and competent in MS Office applications
* Performs tasks with Safety as top priority.
