* SUMMARY*
Provides program manager support on temporary basis for the Respiratory Care program. May also provide didactic instruction and supervision of clinical course content.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS *
- Provides ongoing review and analysis of all program activities, ensuring compliance with CoARC standards in collaboration with the Associate Dean and the Director of Clinical Education/Preceptor
- Oversees the communication among all Respiratory Care Program adjuncts and tutors
- Coordinates meetings with hospital administration
- Assists with clinical visits to University Hospitals-based sites
- Primary contact for Respiratory Care students
- Supports open labs for student success
- Assists Associate Dean, Health Careers with upcoming self-study
- Assists the Associate Dean, Health Careers with budget planning
- Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or healthcare related field
- Significant related experience may substitute for education
- Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and a valid Ohio Respiratory Care license
- Minimum of four years of demonstrated experience as a RRT with at least two years' experience in clinical respiratory care
- Minimum of two years' experience teaching in an accredited Respiratory Care program either as an appointed faculty member or as a clinical preceptor
- Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team
- Demonstrated experience requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations
- Must successfully complete a Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI) Background Check to include fingerprinting, social security number trace, county record search, state search, and a check of Federal Bureau of Investigation records
