POSITION SUMMARY: The Technical Designer reports to the Design Manager. Located in Cleveland, OH. Full-Time Hybrid The Designer assists and provides drawing support to Designers & Project Managers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the guidance of Designers & Project Managers generate documents/drawings to submit for construction/bidding/installation purposes. Obtain field dimensions when needed. Attend job meetings with Designer or Project Manager when necessary. Learn preferred vendors. Assist in specifying and protecting jobs. Expected to grow capabilities to perform position with greater efficiency annually. Conduct oneself in a professional manner that fosters positive relations with customers, vendors, and internal company personnel. Expand their knowledge of other jobs within the organization. Strong relationship building skills with customers, general contractors, architects, manufacturers and vendors, and other trades on job sites. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organizational skills. Highly motivated and self-directed. Basic working knowledge of general construction, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. Excellent selling and presentation skills. Highly creative. Knowledge of foodservice industry. Knowledge of Revit. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred, or equivalent Military or practical experience. 1 year or more of entry level or internship experience in an Interior Design, Architectural, Engineering, or Construction related field. Computer-Aided Design Certificate Basic architectural and construction knowledge Must complete CFSP Test within first 3 years of employment Previous foodservice industry experience preferred.
