TheHealth Information Management (HIM) Clerkmaintains and updates patient records, including medical histories, treatments and examinations; filing and storing records; and releasing patient medical records\ \ JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist in the coding process, provide support and act as general liaison for the coding team
  • Retrieve and electronically track charts
  • Download patient records from EMR systems
  • Submit electronic files to record management system
  • Create and maintain incoming files by identifying correct patient information
  • Create, send and track communication to providers
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy

  • Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients, medical staff and the public
  • Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask
  • Professional appearance and ease in developing rapport with others
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Computer knowledge in MSOffice and Meditech
