Relay & Meter TechnicianAdvanced Apprentice
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install and maintain relay protection and control systems.
Provide technical support to internal/external departments and customers.
Provide relay system reliability, integrity, and security.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Two-year technical college degree (or higher) with course work in electronics/electrical technologies and microprocessors.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Advanced Apprentice Level:
One year or more of direct job-related experience.
Related experience will include:
Maintenance electrical work with a strong background in the following: electrical control circuits, instrumentation control circuitry, motor controls, PLCs, and print reading in an industrial environment.
OR
Job-related experience as a Relay & Meter Technician.
Level to be determined based on experience and qualifications
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
This position will report regularly in person to Coleraine, MN.
This Position is subject to NERC CIP (North American Electric Reliability Corporation – Critical Infrastructure Protection) standards.
Occasional out-of-town work and after hours call-outs will be required.
Successful candidate will be required to complete an apprenticeship program.
Requires good communication skills to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.
