National Archives and Records Administration Management and Program Analyst in College Park, Maryland

Summary This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. Incumbent works at the epicenter of an office of 80-plus employees in four different programs with demanding, high-visibility jobs and complex procedures. The responsibilities of this position include responding to and tracking the needs of employees in these programs and following complex procedures, and requires initiative, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong organizational, and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities As a Management and Program Analyst, you will: Serve as the office manager, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office. Ensure the office's compliance with and implement critical requirements, regulations, policies, and procedures regarding federal travel, purchasing, and timekeeping. Provide technical support for various complex software applications. Interact with office employees on a wide range of administrative matters by: communicating requirements, providing technical direction and assistance, clarifying procedures, identifying errors and explaining how to fix them, advising on policy interpretation, conducting briefings, requesting information, responding to inquiries and requests, listening to descriptions of issues and problems, explaining decisions, and providing status updates. Qualifications You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. To be qualified for this position at the GS-12 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Serving as an Office Manager handling a wide range of administrative duties to provision the office and to manage, organize, and improve the physical work environment; AND - Examining travel orders/authorizations/vouchers according to Federal travel regulations; AND - Preparing requisitions for purchasing equipment, supplies, and other materials and services according to Federal regulations and laws; AND - Creating standard operating procedures (SOPs); AND - Creating spreadsheet pivot tables. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks.
