Pfizer Senior Manager, Secure Connectivity Engineering Lead in Collegeville, Pennsylvania

Securing remote connectivity to Pfizer's resources is vital to the security and operational resilience of Pfizer. The Senior Manager of Secure Connectivity Engineering owns the strategy, roadmap, technology, and operations of Pfizer's global secure remote connectivity processes & systems. The leader will be responsible for reducing risk, increasing operational effectiveness, and driving innovation which improves both security and user experience.

The role reports to the Senior Director of Cybersecurity Engineering and will be a leader of a globally distributed team. This role requires subject matter expertise across the domain of remote connectivity and network micro segmentation enabled securely applying zero trust principles with hands-on expertise in delivering secure remote connectivity solutions, at massive scale, across cloud, on-premise and SaaS environments.

Strong business communication skills are required to influence senior business leaders at the global business unit level. Effective project management skills and a demonstrated aptitude to rapidly apply expertise in a complex business and technical environment are required to drive transformational strategies to successful implementation.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads the strategy, roadmap, and operations of Pfizer's complex remote connectivity ecosystem. Ensures that security, compliance, capacity, and resiliency considerations are implemented across all aspects of the program with a specific focus on continuous improvement and innovation external remote connectivity and network micro segmentation, which driving a least privilege and zero-trust mentality across all environments at Pfizer.

Automation : Uses business, security, and risk requirements to design secure remote connectivity related automations and review strategy focused on automating routine tasks across disparate systems. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, increase automation, and enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of zero trust enablement services.

Strategy and Vision: Maintain knowledge of latest and industry leading remote connectivity technologies and practices to drive new solutions and ideas across Pfizer and create a least privilege and zero-trust mentality across all digital environments at Pfizer.

Metrics and Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and adoption of zero-trust secure connectivity. Produce regular reports for leadership, highlighting the status of secure connectivity initiatives and identifying areas for improvement.

Organizational Leadership : Leads a global team of colleague staff and contract service providers. Ensures that all positions are staffed with qualified personnel, properly trained, and aligned to a culture of continuous innovation.

Policy and Procedure Development . Collaborate with legal, compliance, and IAM governance teams to ensure alignment with data protection and privacy regulations. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees and contractors on secure remote connectivity solutions, policies, and procedures.

Risk Management: Identify remote connectivity related risks and vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Maintain a continuous review of remote connectivity hygiene and metrics identifying and remediating security gaps. Respond to security incidents related to access compromise and lead investigations to determine root causes and remediation actions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and 7+ years of experience in IT/cybersecurity in a corporate environment

  • 4+ years of experience running remote connectivity solutions in organizations with greater than 10,000 users.

  • 5+ years of experience with remote connectivity and/or network micro-segmentation technologies, on-premise enterprise environments and software delivery models (SaaS, IaaS).

  • Experience with industry leading remote connectivity and network micro segmentation enterprise and open-source solutions, support, and operations.

  • Experience collaborating with technical, strategic, and business stakeholders to create innovative technical solutions to meet business and security requirements.

  • Experience developing and implementing technical strategies and product roadmaps that create measurable improvements over time.

  • Strong ability to drive strategic solutions and meet rigorous deadlines through project management and team leadership.

  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to develop talent and build bench strength in a high demand technology field.

  • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to write and verbally articulate industry terminology to interact at a technical level, management level and senior executive level.

  • Demonstrated experience in an agile work environment possessing qualities such as a collaborative mindset, adaptability to change, and a proactive problem-solving approach.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $131,200.00 to $218,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
