Cybersecurity Weapon System Engineer
Key Role:
Apply technical expertise and guidance on the cybersecurity aspects of weapon
systems and space systems. Work closely with the Booz Allen Cyber-physical
Defense team and other stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate
cyber threats and vulnerabilities affecting mission success in the weapon and
space domain. Support the development and implementation of cybersecurity
solutions, mitigations, and best practices for space systems and
operations. Conduct cyber threat analysis and Mission-based Cyber Risk
Assessments for weapon and space system operations, including satellites,
ground stations, and command and control networks. Provide cybersecurity
recommendations and solutions for weapon and space system operations, based
on industry standards and best practices. Develop and maintain cybersecurity
documentation, including procedures, plans, reports, and briefings.
Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external partners, including
across Booz Allen, other government agencies, industry, and academia,
on cybersecurity issues and initiatives related to weapon and space system
operations. Provide cybersecurity training and awareness for space defense
personnel and other stakeholders. Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity
trends, technologies, and threats in the space domain.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with cybersecurity in Department of Defense (DoD)
weapon systems including their architectures, functions, and vulnerabilities
Experience with cybersecurity principles, frameworks, standards, and
best practices, including NIST, ISO, and CIS and cybersecurity
analysis, assessment, and mitigation for weapon and space system
operations using tools and methods
Experience with red teampenetration testing or offensivepenetrationtesting,
or cyber threat emulation
Knowledge of cyber threat actors, tactics, techniques, and procedures,
and their implications for weapon and space system operations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under pressure and with
tight deadlines
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Secret clearance
Cybersecurity Certification, including CISSP, CISM, CEH, or OSCP
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering
Additional Qualifications:
Experience in working with a space defense team or government agencies on
cybersecurity issues and initiatives related to weapon and space system
operations
Experience in developing and delivering cybersecurity training and awareness
for space defense personnel and other stakeholders
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
TS/SCI clearance
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need
to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;
Secret clearance is required.
