Farnsworth Group is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer in our Colorado
Springs office. In this role, you will assume multi-project
responsibilities for lighting, lighting controls, power distribution,
branch circuiting, and systems engineering and design for a variety of
faciliti
This role is one that can be entrepreneurial and grow into more responsibility
via mentoring from more experienced engineers and is supported by a great team
of engineers and drafters. This role reports to a senior engineer, who will
also provide mentoring and training opportunities to help you grow.
Job Activities:
Actively engage in and assume responsibility for code research and application
Create preliminary schematics and final designs
Perform calculations, equipment selection and layout
Preparation of accurate lighting, power, and systems construction drawings
and specifications
Submittal review and construction administration
Assist in maintaining project design budgets and schedules
Interface with other disciplines, clients, and contractors
Specific Requirements include:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
0-2 years of professional experience in electrical design
EIT certification, preferred but not required
Design experience relative to medium/large commercial and institutional
facilities
Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously
