SUMMARY:
We have an immediate opening for an electrical engineer. Both digital and
analog design experience is desirable, as is firmware design. Familiarity
with design for space applications is ideal and field programmable gate array
(FPGA) technology along with Verilog and/or VHDL experience are also
highly desired. The candidate should also have experience with schematic
capture and PCB design tools. Experience with LabVIEW automated test software
and any computer-based design or analysis tools will be especially useful.
This member will act as the principal circuit design assistant to Blue Line
Engineering's Lead Electrical Engineer. Blue Line's Electrical Engineer
(EE) is responsible for effective electrical design and firmware
development of Blue Line's current and future product lines and associated
projects. Our EE should expect to assist with circuit design, software,
test hardware, test procedures, system optimization, final test and
analysis, as required. This key BLE team member must understand requirements
and ensure the product or customized product performs to customer
expectations. The EE is responsible to Blue Line's President and works in a
collaborative way with our Lead Electrical Engineer.
Duties will include some or all of the following activities: reviewing
and/or developing digital and analog schematics for accuracy and function;
reviewing and/or developing PCB layouts for optimal component and signal
placement; researching and identifying components for space flight
qualification; analysis and testing of analog and digital systems;
environmental testing including thermal vacuum testing, random vibration
testing, EMI testing, stability tests and other tests necessary for space
qualification; developing test procedures and special test fixtures; SPICE
circuit simulation; documenting test results and developing test reports and
analyses such as worst case analyses and reliability analyses. Each member of
our team respects the contributions of other members, covers gaps outside
normal roles and responsibilities, supports larger organizational agendas,
and takes an organized approach to their work.
Education and Experience: Bachelors' Degree in EE required; a strength
in firmware writing is desired; five years' experience is also desirable.
