Volt is immediately hiring Infrastructure Engineer Linux in Schriever AFB,
Colorado.
As Infrastructure Engineer Linux you will:
Assist with design, development, implementation, and support of Red Hat
Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Operating System for the project.
Support software deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to
support program need for the effort.
Design, implement, generate code through scripting tools, test,
document, and maintain the system.
Assist with development of build/test and integration, optimizing for
performance and scalability across on-premises computing environments.
Assist engineers with RHEL based tool usage and issues, leveraging standards
and best practices.
This is a 12 Month full time Contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:

Technical Skills/Experience Required:
Looking for Linux Design and implementation Engineers for our environments;
a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom
hardware, for a large Project producing a critical, strategic national asset.
Familiar with the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Operating system -
Preferably versions of RHEL 6.0+ and can work through the OS configuration
and optimization for these environments which would involve a mixture of
hands-on keyboard engineering work as well as documentation and baseline
contro
Thorough background in on premise infrastructure design data center systems
Experience troubleshooting complex systems involving multiple servers, COTS
products, VMs, VDIs, and/or network issues.
Experience with RHEL 6.0+ infrastructure development, implementation,
and optimization for an enterprise Design.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Interfacing with customers and users at a customer's site.
Experience in Network designs and implementation.
Experience in SAN/NAS designs and implementation.
Experience in Windows Platforms and implementation.
Understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps developments.
Extensive Windows OS development and deployment experience.
Hands on experience scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby,
bash, etc.).
Experience with the Agile development lifecycle.
Experience with the Atlassian tool suite.
Experience with SAFe agile processes.
Knowledge of Enterprise Application development and deployment processes.
Certification Preferred: Security+ certification.
Education Requirements:
Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math
(STEM) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer
Engineering, or Physics and 5+ years of related work experience.
Pay Rate: $75.00 - $83.00 per hour
