Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is looking for self-starting, team-oriented Full-Stack Application Software Engineers, to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team working on large-scale enterprise application systems for Space Domain purposes using web technologies, distributed computation, as well as sophisticated, cloud technologies, frameworks, and cutting-edge domain analytics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of software development and integration team focused on mission-unique software to be developed and integrated with existing and new cutting-edge capabilities.

Essential Functions:

  • The Software engineer will perform the development and integration via industry best practices, including Agile methodologies for the government system.

  • The Software Engineer will provide mission application and framework development support.

  • The Software Engineer participates in a development team that uses modern DevSecOps software practices and a technology-supported development infrastructure.

  • The Senior Software Engineer will help maintain and develop new capabilities to the deployed system, diagnose and resolve issues, and provide support to end-users as needed.

  • The ideal candidate will have the technical talent and desire to continuously learn new skills and technologies.

  • The ideal candidate will provide on-the-job mentoring to junior engineers as needed.

    Qualifications:

  • TS//SCI with consent to CI Poly

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

  • Experience with Java, JEE object oriented programming

  • Experience with the Vue.js framework

  • Experience with Microservices

  • Experience with containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift

  • Experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or GovCloud

  • Experiene with Agile Software Development Processs and Methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban)

  • Experience with supporting systems engineering efforts in system design, solution engineering, and software development

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to detail complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Spring Boot framework

  • Experience with C++, or Python programming languages

  • Experience with PostgreSQL or similar Relational Database Management System (RDBMS)

  • Experience with Front-End web development, including JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, SCSS, or HTML

  • Experience with unit testing

  • Experience with integration and development tools, including AWS, Docker, Bitbucket, and Jenkins

  • Experience integrating, testing, and deploying software applications to operations.

  • Knowledge of REST APIs
