*Hiring for a Network Engineer with an Active Clearance

Description:

We are seeking a Network Engineer with strong experience in DoD network security environments. The engineer will be supporting different cloud computing environments (AWS GovCloud, DoD Cloud and physical) working with teams implementing and verifying network settings across the program, including maintenance of network devices, troubleshooting network outages or bugs, and deploying new network environments per the baseline templates. This position will require travel, which will increase over time up to 50% travel.

As a member of the team, you will be involved in the entire software development life cycle, from idea creation and development, all the way through to maintenance and support of the customer’s delivered system. These positions will place you in roles where you can make an impact on the results of our project. The team offers a collaborative mentoring environment where you could learn from or lead others.

Position Responsibilities:

• Integrate security principles into the development and deployment of software/hardware solutions.

• Support Network Integration with both software and hardware teams.

• Work in a Cisco Route/Switch Environment with Fortinet Firewalls.

• Communicate with developers, crew lead and partners.

• Methodical thinking and problem solving.

• Draft documentations such as Operation Instructions and assist others by reviewing their documentation.

• Risk Management Framework (RMF): Designs and facilitates implementation of security controls IAW NIST SP 800-53 and SP 800-171. Documents hardware, software, system components, and data flow as required to complete RMF System Security Plans. Develop and maintain training plans, records, and training.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must be a Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance

Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Must have an Active Secret Clearance.

• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to dive deep into troubleshooting a problem.

• General Networking experience (debugging, packet captures with Wireshark, Routing, VLANs, firewall rules).

• Experience with Switches, Routers and Firewalls.

• Experience with QoS and traffic policing.

• Experience with IPsec tunnels.

• Experience working with Atlassian Tool Suite (Bitbucket, Confluence, and Jira).
