Responsibilities
The Space and Cyberspace domains are fraught with risks and threats that
change daily; MTSI and our SSC customer need an innovative, talented,
experienced, and engaging Risk Manager. As a Risk Manager with MTSI you
will support Space Systems Command (SSC) in its mission to provide
defensive cyber operations for space capabilities. This dynamic mission area
requires a Risk Manager who understands the internal and external factors
driving risk, and can collaboratively identify, quantify and mitigate
risks with a diverse group of stakeholders within and outside the program and

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
As the Risk Manager you will lead and facilitate a broad team approach to Risk
Management; first tailoring our standard Risk Management plan to the
program/mission need, then identifying, analyzing, mitigating, and
monitoring risk for continuous update and improvement, in collaboration with
mission stakeholders. The position exists to reduce program AND mission risk
to acceptable levels; that is the measure of success.
You shall understand and apply NIST, DoD and USSF program management and
risk management processes and products, to include Risk Management Framework
You shall have technical understanding of cyberspace operations on IT and OT
systems, Agile/DevSecOps, and a basic understanding of USSF and SSC
missions and capabilities.
You shall be innovative, proactive, and collaborative with a wide variety
of stakeholders to identify, quantify, and mitigate risk
You shall create, maintain, continuously update, share, and deliver a
risk database; we provide the process and tools
You shall ensure risk mitigation activities are scheduled and accomplished,
and assessed for impact, with lessons learned and continuous improvement
incorporated into our plan and processes
You shall rapidly learn and then coach our personnel and stakeholders on our
unique approach to Risk Management
You shall identify realized risk (Issues), and assist the M and
technical leads in resolving those issues
You shall identify and implement Opportunities
This high-risk mission area demands that you constantly innovate and improve
our processes and outcomes, in coordination with the PM, team, SSC
customer, and stakeholders
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum twelve (12) years relevant experience performing program
management, engineering, or operations/cybersecurity during which you
have executed risk management activities. Experience must be in the Government
(military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and
development center, or Contractor arena. Experience shall include duties or
assignments specifically in support of development or sustainment of military
weapon systems/capabilities; Space Systems preferred.
Desired Certifications:
PMP, CISM, CISSP, or equivalents
Clearance Requirements:
Active Secret clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI & SAP
US Citizen
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $110,000/year to
$150,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on
established government contract rates, job-related knowledge, skills,
and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of
medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position
