The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), Advanced Ground System (AGS) Software Engineering team is seeking an Experienced Scrum Master to support Battle Management, Command, Control and Communications (BMC3) programs in Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Responsibilities:

The Scrum Master will perform as part of a high-performing team and have the opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of innovative technology in an agile environment. As a member of the AGS Software Engineering team, you will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from design and development, through to maintenance and support of the customer’s BMC3 system. This opportunity offers a collaborative mentoring environment where you have the opportunity to learn from others and be a mentor to junior software engineers.

Focus areas include:

  • SAFe Agile software development

  • Helping cross-functional software development teams apply SAFe principles

  • Planning deliverables and helping teams monitor performance

  • Resolving issue that hinder the teams’ work

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required), with the ability to obtain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Security Clearance and program access (post start). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Required skills include:

  • Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) degree with 5 or more years of experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer

  • Active Secret security clearance or higher with the ability to obtain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance and program access

  • Experience with Agile software development

  • Experience working within integrated development environments

  • Experience with software design, development, debugging, and performing software integration and test

  • Experience working in an Agile Environment utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) or similar tools

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance

  • SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification

  • Prior experience on a scrum team in a scrum master role

  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques, artifacts, and ceremonies

  • Familiarity with software development design and processes

  • Experience with spacecraft simulation, modeling, and optimization algorithm design and implementation

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills

Typical Education/Experience:

Typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: Min: 80,000 – Max: 135,000
