The Space Systems Command (SSC) Technical Support (STS) 3rd Follow-on
(STS-3) contract provides acquisition, technical and engineering support
to the USSF Space Systems Command (SSC) Battle Management Command,
Control & Communications Sustainment (BCS).
BCS acquires services to modernize and sustain the Satellite Control Network
(SCN). We are seeking a Security Architect with experience in engineering
and cybersecurity to join the BCS STS-3 contract supporting the SCN government
team. This role ensures that the security requirements necessary to protect
the mission are adequately addressed in all aspects of enterprise architecture
and the resulting systems supporting the mission.
Duties include:
* Develop/integrate cybersecurity designs for systems and networks with
multilevel security requirements or requirements for the processing of
multiple classification levels of data primarily applicable to government
organizations (e.g., UNCLASSIFIED, SECRET, and TOP SECRET).
* Document and address organization's information security, cybersecurity
architecture, and systems security engineering requirements throughout the
acquisition life cycle.
* Perform security reviews, identify gaps in security architecture, and
develop a security risk management plan.
* Define and document how the implementation of a new system or new
interfaces between systems impacts the security posture of the current
environment.
* Evaluate security architectures and designs to determine the adequacy of
security design and architecture proposed or provided in response to
requirements contained in acquisition documents.
* Determine the protection needs (i.e., security controls) for the
information system(s) and network(s) and document appropriately.
Qualifications Required (Skills)
* Master's Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data
Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or relevant Engineering
discipline and minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
* Knowledge of the enterprise information technology (IT) architectural
concepts and
patterns (e.g., baseline, validated design, and target architectures.)
* Knowledge of risk management processes.
* Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network
security methodologies.
* Knowledge of communication methods, principles, and concepts that
support the network infrastructure.
* Knowledge of program protection planning (e.g. information technology
(IT) supply chain security/risk management policies, anti-tampering
techniques, and requirements).
* Knowledge of enterprise architecture development
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION FOR
WHICH, YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
Qualifications Desired
* Working knowledge of the Satellite Control Network (SCN) or similar DoD
program.
* Experience with DoDAF and modeling tools (e.g., Cameo, Sparx
Enterprise Architect)
