About the role:
As aSenior Software Engineer (Back-End) at Raft, you will be diving
deeper into the software lifecycle, taking on more complex tasks and leading
smaller project initiatives. You will not only write code but also be involved
in design discussions, code reviews, and mentoring Associate and Standard
Engineers, helping to maintain the high standards of our organization.
What we are looking for:
Ten plus years' experience as a software engineer
Proficient withC, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, React & Angular
Strong experience in multiple Big Data/Cloud/Enterprise Frameworks
Experience in creating robust web-socket and RESTFul APIs
Deep knowledge of SW design and architecture patterns
Proficiency with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes
A strong collaborator who can work well with a diverse team
Able to mentor junior engineers
Demonstrated working knowledge & experience in the following areas: Apache
Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, SIMP Project, Ansible, Docker, GIT,
Linux, Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J,
PostgreSQL, Terraform, Artifactory, GitLab, network engineering, AWS
Cloud, agile software development, agile methodologies, agile project
management, software project management, defensive cyber military
operations, software development life cycle management, program/project
management, systems engineering, strategic planning, cross-functional team
Able to obtain a Security+ certification within 90 days of employment with
Raft
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics
or a related field
Highly preferred:
Hands on experience with time-series data in PostgreSQL or another SQL
flavored database
Certifications:
SAFe for Teams Certification, &
AWS certifications (Associate Solutions Architect, & AWS Specialty
Security within a year of start date) or be able to demonstrate AWS
competence using the CLI and Boto.

Active Secret security clearance

Salary Range:
$110,000 - $200,000
The determination of compensation is predicated upon a candidate's
comprehensive experience, demonstrated skill, and proven abilities
