The Impact You’ll Make in this Role The 3M MSD Field Service Center Manager is responsible for oversight and coordination of resources for operations in a single-location territory. This position provides leadership, tactical needs assessments and training for team members in the assigned location. Additional responsibilities include labor scheduling and time management, inventory control, coordination of facility and equipment maintenance and ensures operational compliance to company and regulatory policies.

  • Partnering with Field Service leadership in monthly territory planning process and creation of territory priority actions, resource needs identification, and team member development

  • Participating in interviewing, selection, and onboarding of personnel for Service Center positions

  • Developing employee work schedules for allocation of resources to meet business needs and maintaining /approving timekeeping records and absences in according to KCI policies

  • Performance managing team by conducting training, coaching for performance and competency, and performance evaluations

  • Delegating work assignments & processes to manage the efficient use of inventory, manpower, vehicles and equipment to achieve and maintain optimal customer service

  • Managing and growing customer relationships with routine visits to ensure expectations are understood clearly, being met and resolving issues that arise in expeditious and complete manner.

  • Managing cross-functional relationships with local sales and support teams to achieve commercial and departmental objectives.

  • Managing inventory control for products, parts, supplies and equipment in conformance to 3M policies and procedures within assigned locations

  • Establishes location and individual operational compliance to federal, state, local regulations as well as company policies and procedures.

  • Managing and delivering process improvement solutions to achieve organizational objectives and improve key metric (KPI) targets

  • Identifying and solving process or outcomes issues. Performing root cause analysis, creates corrective plans of actions and provides objective evidence of results to deliver correct results

    Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or higher in Business or related discipline from (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Two (2) years direct supervisory experience in a service field in a private, public, government, or military environment

  • Current, valid Driver’s license due to this position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience with Lean and 5S Visual management.

  • Ability to work non-traditional work schedule, which may include extended hours including evenings, weekends, and participate in on-call duties

  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the position through fitness testing as required in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA)

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point

  • Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Demonstrated skills in creating, implementing, and managing success of tactical execution plans.

    Travel: 25% domestic travel

    Relocation Assistance: Relocation may be authorized

The targeted compensation range for this position is $86,882 - $106,189. This targeted compensation range is specific to Colorado residents and can vary based on qualifications, business needs, etc. This information is being disclosed in accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay Transparency Rules.
