Structural Group, Inc. has opening in Columbia, MD forIT Customer Support Technician.Assists programmers in resolution of work problems related to flow charts, project specifications, or system debugging. Upgrades system and corrects errors to maintain system. Builds and maintains an asset management database utilizing Numara Track-IT! Coordinates application installation and acceptance with end users and provide user assistance on application operations. Develops instructional material and incorporates current technology in related specialized fields that provide guidelines to assist management's employee education priorities. Develops support and training tools that increase system usability. Identifies and implements new technologies to increase features and value. Leads small customer support related projects. Makes purchase recommendations on new hardware and software. Performs trouble ticket logging and trend analysis. Provides remote support to our other facilities and roaming users. Provides proactive setup and configuration of new and existing workstations. Works on and resolves customer support issues of moderate complexity (level 2), but escalates more complex inquiries. Willing to be on-call at least one weekend per month and one 24 hour period each week. Must have an Associate's degree inComputer science or related, or foreign degree equivalent and 36 months of experience as Technician or similar in computer/information technology, or related field, including36 months experience with performing hardware upgrades and software installations. 36 months experience with configuring smart devices. 36 months experience with delivering deliver end-user training. 36 months experience with troubleshooting various Microsoft Operating Systems (i.e. Windows 7, Windows 8).
