As a Dining Facility Human Resources Manager, your role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth functioning of the human resources aspect within a dining facility, which could be in a variety of settings such as a restaurant, cafeteria, or catering service. Your responsibilities likely include:

  • Recruitment and Hiring: You oversee the recruitment process for all positions within the dining facility, from servers to chefs to cleaning staff. This involves writing job descriptions, advertising positions, interviewing candidates, and making hiring decisions.

  • Training and Development: You design and implement training programs for new hires and ongoing development for existing staff. This could include food safety training, customer service skills, and any other necessary job-specific training.

  • Employee Relations: You act as a point of contact for any employee relations issues, such as conflicts between staff members or concerns about working conditions. You may also handle disciplinary actions or grievances in accordance with company policies.

  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: You ensure that all employees are paid accurately and on time, and that they receive any benefits they are entitled to, such as health insurance or retirement plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university of higher education or two years of human resources generalist experience is required.

  • Proficiency in using ADP software and the Balance Trak applicant tracking system.

  • Must be customer service oriented.

  • Strong conflict management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Ability to develop strong trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results.

  • Ability to act independently and quickly solve problems and make decisions.

  • Ability to use Microsoft software- Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Must pass a criminal background check.

  • The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience, ranging from $60,000 - $80,000 annually.
