Essential Functions

  • Respond as first point of contact for high-volume incoming phone calls; direct inquiries to the appropriate team member and handle outbound correspondence when necessary
  • Greet visitors immediately upon arrival in a welcoming and professional manner
  • Manage interview and new hire schedules for the office and ensure confirmation emails have been sent
  • Administer applicable preliminary and new hire paperwork professionally and accurately
  • Process and verify onboarding information/paperwork in a manner that is consistent and compliant with Varner procedures
  • Oversee and proctor testing according to applicable customer-specific requirements
  • Administer on-site drug tests for prospective employees and coordinate appointments for lab testing
  • Conduct background checks and professional reference checks on select candidates
  • Produce specified reporting information in a timely, compliant manner that meets applicable deadlines
  • Screen resumes sent to our administrative inbox and forward to appropriate team member
  • Assist with maintaining job postings and reviewing online applications
  • Participate in goals to screen and schedule prospective candidates; primarily by learning to utilize incoming calls from job seekers
  • Maintain branch inventory by tracking supply needs and submitting orders through approved vendor
  • Input data and information into HRIS tools for tracking and reporting purposes
  • Attend office meetings and scheduled events
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities led by internal Training and Development team
  • Complete additional projects as needed and other duties as assigned

Education / Experience Requirements:

  • 4-year degree preferred
  • Relevant professional experience preferred; staffing or recruiting is a plus
  • Strong communication skills with ability to effectively navigate different types of relationships
  • High energy level with a positive outlook, sense of urgency, and an interest in supporting team camaraderie
  • Interest in innovation and solutions-oriented mindset; willingness to adapt to change
  • Capable of learning how to utilize different computer programs to include MS 365
