JPMorgan Chase Analytics Solutions Associate in Columbus, Ohio

Join the new Data management team today!

As an Associate on the Analytics Solutions team within the data management unit you will be responsible for data strategy, data governance and data risk management. You will partner with data owners across the firm to establish a robust P&A data use framework and assist with the build out of the data governance for this new function.

Job responsibilities:

  • Partner across finance to develop and implement data governance processes

  • Provide consistent guidance to ensure data across the organization is classified, stored and shared in alignment with best practices

  • Maintain working knowledge of technology/tooling to support data management, and provide input into requirements for future tooling

  • Support data capabilities being created on the lake and ensure alignment with stakeholders on usage where possible

  • Assist with the formulation of data ownership roles and responsibilities for finance

  • Partner with stakeholders to provide executive management updates as needed

  • Manage data onboarding pipeline ensuring assets are prioritized accordingly

  • Must be detail oriented, creative, innovative, and enjoy a fast-paced challenging environment. Must enjoy working as a member of a team and possess the ability to work independently

  • Lead initiatives and maintain project plans, milestones, risk/issues and status reports

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a subject of a technical nature

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in Finance Planning and Analysis, data governance, data management

  • Proven leadership skills, driving teams (including cross-functional and global) to deliver on initiatives

  • Experience in data use case management lifecycle

  • Proficiency in problem solving with the ability present conclusions concisely

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate issues clearly

  • Highly motivated with a proven track record for executing on large to small programs, often under pressure given short lead times or with little information / direction

  • Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent team player with the ability to challenge, while at the same time remaining a respected as a trusted partner for key stakeholders

  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skill

  • Ability to build positive working relationships, influence stakeholders, educate, and champion data governance excellence and data use principles across the organization.

  • Ability to conduct risk assessment related to data use, identifying risks, concerns, bottlenecks, and mitigating actions.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Knowledge of data governance, data protection, retention and destruction, data quality, and data storage

  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Alteryx, Essbase and other Microsoft Office and financial applications

  • Experience/understanding of business process reengineering, business modeling concepts, and business systems analysis

  • Experience with AWS, Databricks, a plus

  • Experience in process design
