CelebrateOne is an infant and maternal health collective impact initiative seated within the Mayor’s Office. CelebrateOne is currently accepting applications for a Digital Media Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
This independent contributor will be responsible for creating and managing the flow of all of CelebrateOne’s digital media footprint, which includes, but is not limited to, social media, email marketing, web design, and content creation. This position coordinates communication strategies and manages contracts with vendors related to media and marketing digital content.
Desired Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Graphic Design or related field. Equivalent work experience documenting knowledge of digital content design and creation may be substituted for the desired education on a year for year basis;
Experience with healthcare-based communications, public health campaigns, salesforce, and/or experience with photography and videography;
An intermediate understanding of web design principles;
Advanced understanding of Search Engine Optimization and its impacts on content visibility;
An advanced understanding of email marketing campaigns, including design, segmentation and performance tracking;
An advanced understanding in content creation for social media, blogs, newsletters, videos, and more;
Experience communicating using multi-media techniques for various audiences;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
An ability to learn quickly.
The ideal candidate has experience working with the following software:
Content Management Systems (i.e. WordPress, Granicus OpenCities)
Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva)
Advanced Social Media knowledge
Mail Chimp (and others such as Constant Contact and GovDelivery)
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
Salesforce
This is an Unclassified Appointment (U). A person who has been selected by an appointing authority in accordance with the Columbus City Charter, Section 148(1) is said to have received an unclassified appointment. Those individuals receiving unclassified appointments serve at the pleasure of their appointing authority and may be terminated from employment at any time.
Under direction, is responsible for analyzing and researching issues and providing counsel and recommendations on matters pertaining to the community in the Offices of the Mayor; performs related duties as required.
Examples of Work

Advises staff in the Offices of the Mayor and City Departments about issues and special projects or programs for the community and special interest groups;
Reviews correspondence, confidential or sensitive information, and reports;
Researches community issues and advises on resolutions;
Receives telephone calls and visitors for the Offices of the Mayor; provides recommendations about solutions for inquiries from the general public;
Maintains confidential files, official records of meetings, and other office material for the Offices of the Mayor;
Attends administrative staff meetings and other meetings as directed by the Mayor and/or designee;
May coordinate events and prioritize items for the Mayor’s or immediate supervisor’s schedule;
May arrange meetings and conferences, prepares agendas, and contacts individuals for meetings;
May take minutes of meetings and conferences on behalf of the Offices of the Mayor;
May make travel arrangements for the Mayor and his/her executive staff;
May serve as media liaison for one or more of the Offices of the Mayor;
May serve as the Personal or Scheduling Secretary to the Mayor;
May supervise subordinate support staff in the Offices of the Mayor.
