Oracle Director, Engagement Management in Columbus, Ohio

Job Description

This Director, Engagement Management position is responsible for managing business operations and resources of a given project portfolio which can be defined by industry, service line, technology center, specialty area or region. Responsibilities include people management, project oversight, and sales enablement. Accountable for fulfilling business goals, meeting budgets, maintaining project/portfolio profitability while ensuring quality of project delivery and maintaining customer reference ability.

Responsibilities of Director, Engagement Management:

Develops strategy and plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieve portfolio performance in support of strategic objectives. Responsible for solutions and pricing of proposals and supporting the sales process. Is accountable for managing a significant and profitable revenue stream. Typically manages multiple project/program managers and/or senior level individual contributors. May serve as advisor or project sponsor role for moderately complex engagements.

  • Collaborate with Federal Engagement Consulting organization leaders to develop and communicate a plan for executing the organization vision and strategy.

  • Collaborate with services, sales, and finance leaders to scope and price program work of complex projects.

  • Oversee the success and quality of a VA project portfolio and subsequent initiatives.

  • Provide oversight to project teams on project strategy, escalations and executive-level reporting that meet necessary requirements.

  • Provide effective executive leadership for escalations and operational issues.

  • Identify and drive process improvement and streamlining of consulting services.

  • Manage and deliver significant scope of services with successful and profitable results.

  • Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts on the development of tracking tools and measures to support initiatives.

  • Liaise/build relationships with and support collaboration across a wide variety of teams within Oracle Health.

  • Drive methodology and process improvements across the organization based upon changing requirements.

  • Executive-level communication skills across a wide variety of stakeholders.

  • Obtain the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position.

  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of total combined higher education and related work experience, including:

  • At least 4 years of Healthcare Professional Services Operations experience required.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a Healthcare managerial or executive role.

  • Understanding of various project implementation methodologies.

  • Proven ability to manage large portfolios of work, including profit/loss.

  • Ability to lead, engage, mobilize, and motivate leaders and teams to accomplish goals.

  • Healthcare industry knowledge required.

  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized with sound decision making skills.

  • Excellent executive-level collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills required.

  • Strong presentation skills required.

  • Ability to embrace change and be able to lead resources as a positive change agent.

  • Ability to function as part of a team and adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.

  • Ability to successfully complete the Federal Security Clearance process applicable for the position.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and skillfully define structure and organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle Health Consulting and/or Federal deployment methodology.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or IT field.

  • Current PMP certification.

  • Previous Federal contracting and delivery experience.

  • At least 10 years of Health care information technology (HCIT) or federal government project/program management work experience.

  • Experience with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs and/or Department of Defense.

Other Expectations:

  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to an already virtually approved location.

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Must be willing to travel occasionally as needed.

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations.

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position.

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $109,200 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
