The State of New Hampshire, Department of Education, Division of Learner Support and Bureau of Instructional Support has a full-time vacancy for an English Language Arts Education Consultant.

SCOPE OF WORK

:

To plan, coordinate and monitor English language arts educational programs and assessments in K-12 schools and early literacy programs to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations by providing technical assistance and consulting services.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

:

Conducts reviews and evaluations of educational programming, local and state assessments for English language arts in K-12 schools and in early literacy programs to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and provides technical assistance to schools and programs to support compliance.

Conducts onsite monitoring and desk monitoring of educational standards, assessments and practices for K-12 English language arts content area and for early literacy programs and prepares reports recommending approval actions and suggesting program improvements.

Reviews federal and state legislation and regulations for content standards, assessments and practices for K-12 English language arts content area and for early literacy programs for the purpose of implementing educational programs and assessments in NH K-12 schools and in early literacy programs.

Plans, coordinates and facilitates professional development and in-service programs for New Hampshire educators, and collaborates with local educators and educator associations responsible for standards, instruction, assessment, and professional growth related to English language arts and early literacy.
