Skilled Trades Helper
28,000/Yr. + 5.5% Shift Differential
Position Summary
The Skilled Trades Helper assists a certified or licensed skilled
tradesman in one or more of the following skilled trades: HVAC (Heating,
Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or
mechanical. This position is governed by state and federal laws and
agency/institution policy. The Skilled Trades Helper assists a certified
or licensed skilled tradesman in one or more of the following skilled

electrical, carpentry, or mechanical.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining the physical functions of the campus on the
evening shift (2:30pm to 12:30 am 4-10 hour days). This can include but
not limited to replacing light bulbs or fixtures, small electrical jobs,
installing white boards in classrooms, checking on minor a/c issues,
minor plumbing issues, door lock issues and etc.

- The ability to run small tools
- The ability to work on your own
- Some knowledge of general maintenance

Required Education and/or Experience
Some experience with general maintenance.
Current Drivers License Required.
Preferred Education and/or Experience
1 to 2 years of experience in a building complex setting or education
building setting is a plus.
