Overview
Sportsman’s Warehouse is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our team for Summer 2025 from June 2nd through July 25th. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting within a dynamic retail environment. Interns will work closely with finance professionals on key projects and will have the unique opportunity to gain exposure to the outdoor industry, network with professionals in the field, and develop insights into the financial operations of a leading retail sporting goods company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
Assist in preparing financial reports and analyses for various departments.
Support month-end closing processes and reconciliation activities.
Conduct research and data analysis to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
Budgeting & Forecasting Support:
Assist in the development and monitoring of department budgets.
Support financial planning and forecasting efforts.
Work with the finance team to analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.
Requirements
Qualifications
Required:
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to interpret financial data.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
Knowledge of financial modeling and data visualization tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Previous experience in finance, accounting, or data analysis is a plus.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Office-based position, located at our West Jordan, UT headquarters (on-site only).
Primarily sedentary role with occasional standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 10 lbs).
