Here, you will make an impact by:Guiding activities and personnel in order to achieve the safe handling and disposal of hazardous waste in an environmentally conscious and productive manner. Cultivating and leading a team by encouraging and implementing cross training activities, cooperation, innovation, flexibility and teamwork. Scheduling work priorities consistent with area directives, allocating work assignments, communicating expectations and monitoring workflow. Providing coaching and feedback to employees and utilizing corrective action to resolve conflict and inappropriate behaviors.Training employees on all aspects of the Cottage Grove operations and processes. Providing employees with proper tools, equipment and information including any changes that may affect their work. Ensuring a safe work environment by reviewing production processes, EHS requirements, and recognizing and resolving safety-related problems. Ensuring employees receive training as specified and maintaining certification and training requirements. Providing effective communication to employees through crew meetings, electronic mail, and 1:1 coaching session. Completing housekeeping audits and job safety analysis on a regular basis.Utilizing available resources to resolve process, maintenance, equipment and/or related technical problems. Monitoring and remediating process equipment downtime while maintaining safe operating limits. Analyzing and interpreting statistical data and charts to identify trends and determine improvement plans. Communicating and following-up on safety, productivity, quality, and maintenance concerns with appropriate staff. Generating work requests and entering incident reports in accordance with established procedures.Implementing advanced working knowledge and interpretation of corporate and site policies and procedures. Ensuring shift administrative activities such as time reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, overtime, etc. are properly implemented and documented. Participating in assigned team functions and projects.
