POSITION: Motor Grader Crew Supervisor.
DUTIES: Supervises staff and performs a variety of road and bridge
functions, including: coordinating and assigning work to crews; managing
equipment maintenance activities; scheduling repairs; and ordering and
maintaining equipment and supplies. Supervises and oversees motor grader crew
in road maintenance activities. Oversees airport maintenance functions,
including: maintaining airport runway; coordinating snow removal; and
ordering equipment. Oversees motor grader snowplow operations including
ensuring all on-call staff plows promptly at 3:00 am or as snowfall
dictates. Fills in on all equipment as needed for snow removal. Rotates on
call weekends with other supervisors.
Carries out supervisory/managerial responsibility in accordance with
policies, procedures, and applicable laws including: interviewing,
recommending hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and
directing work; establishing deadlines; appraising performance;
rewarding and disciplining employees; approving time cards; approving
leave; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Oversees road and
bridge operations, including: inspecting work in progress and upon
completion; coordinating maintenance and repair of equipment and tools;
assuring work is performed and completed in compliance with applicable laws,
regulations, etc.; studying specifications and assuring contract
compliance; and ordering and procuring supplies, materials, and tools, and all
REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or GED; and,
Three to four years of progressively responsible related experience; or,
Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the
required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential
functions of the job.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid Colorado Driver & License Class C
Wild Land Fire Fighting Valid Commercial Driver's License (depending on
assignment) Hazmat Endorsement (depending on assignment)
Flagger Certification (depending on assignment)
First Aid/CPR.
WAGE: Pay is $26.73 to $33.41 per hour depending on experience.
SHIFT: Full Time, 40 hours per week, will be discussed at interview.
JOB SITE: Craig, CO.
