Description We are looking for a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team based in CRANBERRY TWP, Pennsylvania. This role will primarily focus on managing both accounts receivable and payable, along with performing general ledger and bank account reconciliations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for fixed asset management, inventory control, and month-end close responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts receivable, including customer invoicing, cash receipts, and collections
• Oversee accounts payable, such as coding and entering invoices, determining purchase order account numbers, and issuing checks
• Handle expense report management and credit card statement processing
• Perform general ledger and bank account reconciliations
• Manage fixed assets and maintain the prepaid expense schedule
• Oversee inventory control and reconciliation
• Handle month end close responsibilities, such as account reconciliations, accruals, recording petty cash, depreciation and amortization journal entries, cost of goods sold calculations, and account variance analysis
• Utilize Excel formulas and Dynamics GP in carrying out tasks
• Conduct cash flow forecasting. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with General Ledger operations
• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in Dynamics GP software
• Advanced skill level in Excel Formulas
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
• Willingness to continue professional development in accounting and finance.
