Corteva Agriscience™ presents an exciting opportunity for a Biostimulants Customer Agronomist based in Cremona, Italy.

Reporting to Italian Biostimulants Business Leader, the Biostimulants Customer Agronomist is a crop and/or product-line expert in Italy; collects and interprets the technical needs of users, influencers and channel partners for products and products programs. The BCA translates these needs into questions to be answered by projects/trials and leads the biostimulants technical positioning within the Corteva LPCT team and inputs at project level.

Key individual in the roll out/launch of products and technical support to those products, leading and ensuring appropriate technical transfer to Corteva peers and key stakeholders.

Supports sales of existing products, providing technical support.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Market Intelligence

  • Liaises with channel partners, end users, officials, and other influencers regarding Corteva Biostimulants products and projects to collect & interpret technical needs of users, influencers and channel partners by crops, products, and programs.

  • Analyze competitive environment (technical strengths and weaknesses).

Projects Definition

  • Translates market needs into questions to be answered by projects/trials and leads the biostimulants positioning within the Corteva LPCT team and inputs at project level.

  • Interacts with the Technical Teams on the exact objectives and reasons for trials / demo to support Customer Needs.

  • Design and coordinate effective and conclusive demo-trial programs for new products in the Country, as defined within LPCTs. Demo trials are an effective tool to promote sales, launch products, identify commercial, opportunities, and train customers.

  • Interacts with the Biologicals EMEA team in order to implement Biostimulants regional and global projects in the Country.

  • Contributes to case building for new projects:

  • Contributes to the completion of decision charts for new products/concepts.

  • Attends the Biology review meetings, for relevant projects, and represents local needs.

  • Contributes local agronomy know-how to protocol design for projects.

Technical Transfer

  • Transfers the knowledge on biostimulants portfolio to Corteva teams. Assists in the fulfilment of Customer needs on the biostimulants matter.

  • Elaborates technical literature, presentations, and commercial materials to support product positioning.

  • Technology transfer to sales team, CTS, officials and influencers.

Miscellanea

  • Coordination with European peers, within a network to search for synergies, analyzing CU opportunities (definition of common projects, coordination with IFS and Regulatory Sciences department …)

  • Product stewardship. Produce materials and guidelines.

  • Support to CTS and Sales Team on complaints/claims.

Qualifications

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need

  • Degree: Agronomist.

  • Other valuable requirements: PhD, MSc, solid agronomic background on Plant Nutrition, Soil Science, Horticulture, Agriculture and Plant Physiology. Project Management, good understanding of commercial environment.

  • Experience: Valuable in similar roles. Strong technical knowledge about crops and crop management. Field trials, Product development or R&D. Technical selling, experience in project management, strong connection with research organizations.

  • Results and business oriented. Ability to work closely with customers and respond to their needs.

  • Good team worker demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the organization and team members.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Great analysis ability.

  • Problem solving and adaptability.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

  • Languages: Fluency in English.
